Shasta
(pics above) - A526019
Lab mix,
about 45 to 50 lbs, netuered male. Can't really tell from the pics, but
we think he is mixed with Chow (and probably other stuff too). Coat
definitely
feels like part Chow. He was friendly to us, didn't mind us looking at
his teeth, putting on his scarf, etc. Friendly but just slightly aloof.
Pretty calm dog. Already neutered. Card said no cats. Is in
Kennel D006.

Five
Puppies A525979
thru A525983(pics above)-
It
says
they are five months old, but in reality they are lucky to be 8 weeks
old.
I'm including one pic of the teeth so people can age for themselves.
They might
have some Chihuahua in them, but there is definitely a herding breed (we
think
Border Collie) as a predominant breed in the mix. A couple of the pups
have some patches of hair loss. I'm also including a pic of that so
people can
see for themselves what they think and if it's something they're able to
deal
with. I'm not claiming to be a vet, but it didn't look like the
ringworm
I'd seen before in dogs. They are very friendly little guys. According
to the paperwork, there are three females and two males. In Kennel D074

Save Wolf Mountain Sanctuary

Save Wolf Mountain Sanctuary

Target: Dena Smith, Director Land Use Services Department

Sponsored by: Care2.com

Wolf Mountain Sanctuary rescues wolves and fosters them in a sanctuary in Southern California, as well as educating visitors about the plight of this threatened species. However, local officials recently shut down Wolf Mountain Sanctuary and demanded that the sanctuary repermit, a process this nonprofit organization cannot afford.
Even though Wolf Mountain Sanctuary complied with all regulations and held an Exhibitor License since 1987, the County of San Bernardino will not allow the organization to continue its work until it files paperwork to receive a new Exhibitor License. The sanctuary does not have the resources to repeatedly file paperwork and pay the accompanying exorbitant fees. And it shouldn't have to.
The work of Wolf Mountain Sanctuary is too valuable and unique to be abandoned with so little cause. Urge the County of San Bernardino to allow them to continue protecting wolves from extinction.

- I have made many visits to Wolf Mountain Sanctuary over the last 11 years. I have been volunteering at Wolf Mountain Sanctuary for the last 2 years. I know the wolves there are loved and cared for. I have personally developed a bond with the wolves there and a close bond with one of the wolves in particular. If anything bad were to happen to her or any of the other wolves there, I don't think I could take it!
Its already bad enough what the government is doing to wild wolves already! Now it seems they want to target captive wolves for exploition and cruelty aswell! This madness needs to stop and both wild and captive wolves need to be protected!
I personally feel that Wolf Mountain Sanctuary is being harassed by county and government officials more than likely because if they can shut down the sanctuary permanently, they can take over the land for who knows what? They care nothing about the wolves or the people who love and care deeply for the wolves that they hurt!
I also know that Wolf Mountain Sanctuary has fallen on hard times and has been struggling due to a drastic drop in donations and sponsers since the economic crash. I think to help save Wolf Mountain Sanctuary, we should all send whatever donations we can to them no matter how big or small it is. Anything we all can send to them will help. I hope Wolf Mountain Sanctuary will be saved and the wolves there will be saved! Please save Wolf Mountain Sanctuary!

NEED SPONSOR FOR ABANDONED BLIND HORSE

NEED SPONSOR FOR ABANDONED BLIND HORSE

This is Mystery, she has had a rough time of it, and every time she just gets comfortable, she gets abandoned. At this point, her owner is going to give her away with a possible and probable ending that would result with the killer for the slaughter house. There are so many horse’s being abandoned right now that all the rescue groups are completely full and over flowing. A Chance for Bliss Rescue in Lincoln, CA, has promised to take her in when they get an opening, In the meantime, my daughter and I are willing to keep her where she is at, (in a comfortable pasture) and provide her with the care and attention she needs, but the financial burden is heavy, we are struggling to care for own horses at this time. We are able to secure her boarding situation, the property owner has graciously agreed to let her stay where she is at, (trailering her would be too traumatic for her, so this is a relief, but we desperately need a sponsor that would help with her feed, and vaccinations. Also her eye medicine and feet trimming when needed. If anyone can help, PLEASE contact dj57angel@hotmail.com
